Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 recovered sherds of medieval pottery from across this field. A concentration of medieval pottery sherds was also noted on the south side of a roddon, along with some shell fragments and post medieval objects, as well as an undated quern fragment. Metal-detecting in 2009 and 2025 recovered medieval and post-medieval coins and a medieval harness pendant.

Context 1: odd sherds medieval pottery. WMV AB(S1).
Context 2 at 5824 1429: spread of moderate medieval pot. Shell sparse to moderate. Post medieval sparse. One quern fragment. One medieval roofing tile 80 x 28m. On south side roddon (on which church also stands). WMV 1 (S2).
