Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 by the Fenland Survey recovered a scatter of Roman and medieval pottery sherds, as well as recording a sparse scatter of Roman pottery adjacent to the drainage dyke.

2 April 1984. Ploughed and well weathered field.
Context 1 = general scatter probably both Roman and medieval.
Context 2 at 5654 1552. Sparse scatter Roman pottery adjacent to drainage dyke. No other materials present. Possibly on top of rodham but uncertain. 42m x 20m.
