Summary

A set of substantial earthworks exists here. The earthworks include dry ditches, ponds, banks and could be the components of a medieval moated site. A single sherd of medieval pottery has also been recovered from this location.

Substantial earthworks including dry ditches, ponds, banks, on ground gently sloping to south.
Moated site? One sherd of glazed Grimston ware from molehill.
Finders retain sherd. Survey plans in file.

2002.
Earthworks in excellent condition under pasture grazed by cattle in the summer months. Minimal cattle poaching. Site the subject of a stewardship agreement.
