Summary

Metal detecting recovered a medieval silver wire ring-brooch from Broom Hill. The hill is said to be the site of windmill. Metal detecting in 2008 recovered a Roman steelyard weight, medieval buckles, a lead weight, vessel, spindle whorl, a purse and a post- medieval token

April 1984. Found with metal detector in plough soil on small high promontory, known as Broom Hill, said to be site of mill.
Silver wire ring-brooch with four opposed knobs on ring, incised to look like knots, and a fifth at the top of the pin immediately below the junction with the ring. Nasty base silver. Medieval.
