Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1984 recovered a fragmentary Mesolithic flint tranchet axehead, ?Neolithic worked flints and post-medieval pottery.

30 March 1984. Fieldwalking.
1 Mesolithic flint tranchet axe. Broken in half at some stage and re-chipped at truncation (possibly for hafting).
1 ?Neolithic flint fabricator fragment, 21 flakes and 1 bifacial implement, possibly an abandoned roughout.
1 post-medieval pottery sherd (lead glazed earthenware).
These finds are now held by the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1984.291).
