Summary

Prehistoric flints, a Neolithic leaf arrowhead, Roman tile, and fragments of pottery dating from the late prehistoric to the medieval periods have been found by fieldwalking.

Full Description

22 February 1984. Field west of Green Drove, formerly two.
Poor to medium conditions. No concentrations. Post medieval sherds not collected.
Context 1. Former southern field centred TF 7340 0518. Rapidly walked.
2 worked flints, 1 prehistoric flint gritted sherd, 1 probable handmade gritted undated, 1 Roman sherd.
Context 2. Only eastern 100m of northern section walked rapidly and no finds except at TF 7358 0532.
1 Roman sherd, coarse.
