Summary

Metal detecting in 1984 recovered two Roman coins. A metal detecting rally in 2006 revealed more Roman coins, a medieval coin and medieval and post medieval metal objects, including a post medieval casket key.

March 1984. More or less in middle of field south of Alderford Common. Found with metal detector in ploughsoil. Two worn Roman coins: As of ?Vespasian ?AD 69-79; Reverse illegible. Sestertius of Antoninus Pius, reverse illegible. AD 138-161.
