Summary

In the sides of a newly cleaned dyke two large pits (8m wide by 1m deep) full of burnt prehistoric flint were recorded.

29 May 1984. In northeast corner of field, west of Congham Wood.
Seen in sides of newly cleaned dyke, one at very corner, one centred 15m south. Two large pits, each about 8m across, 1m deep filled with brown sand loam with large quantities of flinely broken blue pot-boilers. Two pits about 3m apart.
