Summary

A medieval archway is incorporated into the south end of this building, which dates to about 1900 and is built in the Tudor style. Two terracotta dragons perched on the roof of the building until they were stolen in 1996.

Medieval archway, probably formerly leading to rear court or passage, at south end of facade of Nos. 43 and 44 High Street, otherwise a mock Tudor building of about 1900. Arch has appearance of being earlier than this.

The roof of the building bore two terracotta dragons, which were stolen in 1996, one recovered broken. See (S1) and (S2) - description of building as being 16th century in this reference is unverified and the building is not listed.
