Summary

This was the site of a settlement during the medieval period, which on the edge of a common, and first recorded in an early 15th century document. Iron slag of unknown date found during field walking suggests that this site may have been used for iron working. Prehistoric flints, Roman pottery, a medieval quern, and medieval and post medieval pottery and building materials have also been found during field walking.
