Summary

Two United States Army Air Force bombers from the 392nd Bomb Group from Wendling crashed here during World War Two. Parts of the planes were found during ploughing.

Crash site; two United States Army Air Force bombers collided, 392nd Bomb Group from Wendling where there is a memorial obelisk.
Information from (S1). Wrongly called 'near church'.
Location supplied by landowner, who regularly finds fragments on the site after ploughing.
