Full Description
1977 to 1982. Field walking. Ordnance Survey Fields Great Fransham 107 and 118.
Detailed fieldwork, the two fields, not now separate, were confused in walking.
Context 4 incorporates area of part of context 16.
Context 7 is the same as contexts 9 to 16 inclusive, the context number therefore referring to date of collection.

Finds of Roman sherds including Samian, prehistoric or Early Saxon sherds, possible Ipswich ware; Thetford ware, medieval wares including Early medieval, Grimston and Late medieval/early post medieval, post medieval wares.
Flint tools; lava and hone fragments; possible jet; fragment of ?brick kiln debris.
