Summary

This was the site of a settlement during the medieval period, which may have been a successor to the early medieval settlement at NHER 20802. Prehistoric flints, fragments of medieval and post medieval pottery, and post medieval bricks have been found during field walking. A Nuremburg jetton dating from the 16th century has also been found.

This site is recorded as Med 17 in (S2). The settlement may be a successor of the early medieval settlement at NHER 20802. The settlement may be the messuage referred to in a mid 16th century document as being held by Margaret Toly.
