Full Description
1978 and 1982. Field walking. Field Ordnance Survey Great Fransham 168. Varying conditions.
Very large quantities of medieval sherds including early medieval and Grimston.
Late Saxon including Thetford type and Grimston Thetford.
Post medieval including Staffs combed ware.
Flint tools; lava fragments etc.

Casual find of 3 sherds (Late Saxon/Medieval) on east edge (context 3).

This site is recorded as Med 15 in (S2). The site is recorded as having an empty messuage and a croft in about 1550, when it was held by a man named Thomas Toly, who was hung in Norwich in 1555/6.
