Summary

Metal-detecting between 1984 and 2012 recovered Late Prehistoric flint implements including a barbed and tanged arrowhead; Iron Age, Roman and medieval pottery sherds; Roman, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval and post-medieval tokens; post-medieval jettons and Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Bronze Age copper alloy button and ring; an Iron Age brooch and ring; a Roman brooch, buckle and knife; Early Saxon to post-medieval dress accessories; an Early Saxon brooch; a Middle Saxon furniture fitting; medieval and post-medieval balances; a medieval gilt silver annular brooch, thimble and gilt plate with a decorated figure of a creature; a medieval/post-medieval weight and a post-medieval cosmetic set, part of a harness, a thimble, stud, crotal bell and tooth pick.

At find spot marked SF 5 on (S1). Antoninianus of Gallienus with uncertain reverse, dating AD 260 to AD 268. [1].
