Summary
Pond Cottage is a timber-framed house which has been rewalled in modern brick. It is likely to be a 16th or 17th century house which had its floors raised later. There is some painted text on the chimney thought to date to 1665, or possibly 1565.

Full Description
Timber-framed house rewalled in modern brick; either a hall-house floored in 16th/17th century or 16th/17th century house with floors later raised.
Painted text on chimney dated 1665, (or, more probably, 1565). Under repair.
