Site 23/1 and 23/2.
This area has been interpreted as a medieval settlement. Comparatively dense scatter including Thetford type and late medieval/transitional but no real concentration. Substantial but shallow pits now ploughed over. Medieval sherds in pits suggests early exploitation.
See (S2).
M. Dennis (NLA), 1 February 2006.
