Full Description
March 1983. Ordnance Survey field Great Fransham 287. Field walking, good conditions but dry soil.
Concentration in northwest quadrant.
Very large quantity Roman and medieval sherds.
Roman Nar Valley and medieval coarse not easily distinguishable. Also Roman Calcite ware, amphorae, mortaria, and ?tile.
Medieval including Grimston and imported.
Post medieval sherds.
Prehistoric worked flint.
