Summary

This is the site a medieval settlement and pottery works, and a concentration of early medieval pottery was found here during a field walking survey. A concentration of prehistoric pot boilers, and fragments of post medieval pottery were also found, as well as slag of unknown date which suggest that this site may also have been used for metalworking.

Pot production site, areas 30 to 33.
Extremely large numbers overall of early medieval wares also Grimston and coarse.
Pot boiler scatter 12m diameter area 39.
Post medieval sherds including glazed red earthenware and stoneware.
Lumps of ironbound conglomerate and slag.
