Summary

This is the site of three small medieval settlements, which may have been held by Kirkhams Manor in the late 14th century. The soilmark of a ditched enclosure, possible a medieval moat, is visible on aerial photographs. Fieldwalking and metal detecting has recovered prehistoric flints, pottery dating from the Roman to the post medieval periods, a Late Saxon buckle, and medieval and post medieval metalwork.
