Summary

Fragments of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery were recovered during the Fenland Survey fieldwalking. The medieval pottery evidence suggests that this was the site of a settlement during the medieval period.

1 November 1984. Fieldwalking, good conditions; weathered soil, young winter wheat.
Concentration of early post medieval pottery plus other debris. On side and top of bank which from aerial photograph appears to be a roddon, or earlier course of River Nar. Soil stained dark. 48m north to south x 21m east to west.
