Summary

Metal detecting at this location in 1984 recovered a Roman coin of the emperor Hadrian as well as a bronze sheet fragment with an iron nail, also possibly of Roman date.

11 October 1984. Found with metal detector.
A copper alloy coin, a nail, and a fragment of a bronze sheet were recovered by a metal detectorist. The coin has been identified as Roman [As of Hadrian?, COSII (AD 118)]. The bronze sheet fragment and the iron nail could also be Roman.
