Summary

Between 1974 and 2022 a number of artefacts were recovered on this section of the beach between Walcott and Happisburgh. These objects include more than 35 Lower Palaeolithic flint handaxes, a cleaver, scraper, cores and flakes; a Lower/Middle Palaeolithic flint scraper; Early Middle Palaeolithic flint handaxes; a Neolithic part-polished flint axehead; an Early Bronze Age stone macehead and a medieval coin.

Unstratified artefacts recovered on the beach at Walcott/Happisburgh, between the Ostend access ramp and the structures associated with the Happisburgh World War Two Coastal Battery (NHER 18472).
