Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 and 1985 by the Fenland Survey recovered a number of medieval pottery sherds from across this field, as well as noting a scatter of late medieval/early post medieval pottery sherds. This scatter also included some bone and brick, the latter perhaps being later and associated with a number of post medieval pottery sherds.

6 December 1984. Rough ploughed but weathered.
Context 2: at 5759 1519. Scatter late medieval/early post medieval sherds, but sparse. Also some bone and brick, the latter perhaps being later and associated with full post medieval pottery around 30m east to west x 20m north to south although a few sherds further north. Fenland site TSL 17 (S1).
