Summary

Fieldwalking here in 1984 recovered a single large flint flake with some evidence of retouching. It dates to the prehistoric era but a more specific date is difficult to assign. Apparently the Norwich Castle Museum regarded it as Upper Palaeolithic.

Map

1984. Fieldwalking.
Found by [1] north of Stoneyhole Plantation:
1 prehistoric large flint flake with some retouch (date of retouch uncertain).
Compiled by W. F. Milligan (NCM) 14 November 1984.
Information from (S1). Reported in (S2).
A note added to (S1) by J. J. Wymer in 1985 suggests that the date of this object is doubtful. He felt it should be classed as undatable prehistoric although apparently the Norwich Castle Museum regarded it as Upper Palaeolithic.
