Summary

This small timber-framed house has traces of a crownpost roof. It was once the jettied wing of a demolished H-shaped or Wealden house, into which the chimneystack and upper ceiling were probably inserted in the late 16th century. Documentary evidence suggests that this was the rectory before 1840.
