April 1999.
Very brief external visit to north front and yard.
The 3 bay 19th century north facade is in a different brick to the west gable wall of the north pile and to a service wing to the east not mentioned in (S1); these are however both of post 1770 brick. It is possible the service range overlaps the rear of the 17th century block. The latter block has blocked windows in its west gable.
As well as the barn mentioned on (S1), there is a small 17th century brick barn, and south of the house a fine 17th century walled garden.
E. Rose (NLA) 22 April, 1999.

[1] reports that stripping inside the service wing revealed straight joints indicating it had been added to the 17th century block to the south.
Plan in file.
E. Rose (NLA) 21 May 1999.
