Summary

In the 1940s-50s a Late Saxon disc brooch was found in garden in London Road. The brooch is made of pewter and is decorated with a backward-facing beast.

Pewter disc brooch with backward facing beast, degenerate style. Hinge and catchplate, comparable with 10th century example from London.
