Map

Fragment of reused cusped tracery, 14th/15th century, large, reset upside down in front wall of cottage of about 1800 beneath slab now inscribed 'BLOIS' or some similar name, a late addition. Origin of tracery unknown.
Visited E. Rose (NAU) 7 February 1985

Revisit 27 March 1994.
The slab is indeed inscribed BLOIS. Above the slab is a smaller rectangular hoodmould, also reused. It is possible
these features might be later imitation but that is unlikely as they appear to be original to the structure of the cottage, which is a little early for Gothic Revival. Was the cottage a lodge to Park Farm? The latter building has been demolished and so cannot be dated.
E. Rose (NLA) 28 March 1994.

Note that the bridge a quarter of a mile (400m) to the south is called Blois Bridge.
