Full Description
Undated (pre 1985). Cambridge University Committee for Aerial Photography air photograph.
Earthworks. Possible moat and adjacent linear features/ditches and drainage.
D. A. Edwards (NAU), 22 February 1985.
Only the moat is numbered as the other features are drainage still shown on (S1). If it is a moat, it would seem to have been recut as part of drainage area. Pond shown on (S1) at ?moat southwest corner seems to have gone.
E. Rose (NAU), 26 February 1985
(S2) shows the farm that stands to the north of this feature and north of this is written 'Fouldon (sic) New Hall' with a park indicated. Does this suggest the moat mark is the site of an older hall?
E. Rose (NLA), 6 June 2002.
