Summary

Fieldwalking as part of the Fenland Survey recovered a concentration of pieces of Iron Age and Roman pot, bone, flints and many burnt broken pebbles. These are indicative of Iron Age and possible Roman occupation or settlement. Later fieldwalking and metal detecting recovered finds dating from the prehistoric to the post medieval period. These include prehistoric worked flints, a tiny piece of Samian pot, fragments of medieval and post medieval pot, a medieval copper alloy cauldron foot and two parts of a possible post medieval sword belt tag.
