Summary

In 1985 the handle of a Stamford Ware type pot was recovered from a garden. It is thought to date from the Late Saxon to early medieval period.

Handle sherd of Stamford type ware, very smooth fabric with slightly pinkish tinge, spotty green bright glaze. Much rolled and worn, broken edges very smooth. Length 7.5cm max, width 4cm.
