Summary

This trackway may date back to the prehistoric period and is now a narrow lane, in some places metalled, with old hedgerows. In other places it appears to be an old drovers road - unmetalled, grassy and wide. In some places parish boundaries run along the road.

From northwest it is a modern metalled road with old hedgerows and of narrow dimensions, until the A148 after which it becomes a track with a large old hedge on the northeast. It forms the parish boundary in two places. From TF 8803572 southwards this is a typical old drove road, wide and grassed with no metalled surface.
