Summary
Fieldwalking and metal detecting from 1985 to the present day have recovered a large number of objects from the Roman to post medieval period. This includes an Early Saxon brooch, Middle Saxon coins, Late Saxon strap fittings and similar objects from the medieval and post medieval periods.

Full Description
1985. Fenland fieldwalking.
Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval sherds, Sceatta.
Includes a Late Saxon Box mount found with metal detector (NWHCM: 1986.130). See Article (S11).
This find was reidentified as a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount by D. Williams in 1997, see Monograph (S12).
