Full Description
Site of Telegraph House.
This was part of the coastal chain, built in 1798 and sold off in 1829, see (S1).
(S2) is wrong in saying this was part of the inland route, see correction in (S3).

(S4) gives more details; became coastguard station 1815; was rebuilt in brick 1871, demolished in about 1950.
