Summary

Fieldwalking in this area during 1985 recovered a single Roman pottery sherd. Subsequently, in 1986, several Neolithic worked flints were recovered in spoil from a nearby pipe trench.

1986. Field Observation.
Examination by [1] of pipe trench for Costessey Heigham Water Transfer Main. Found in spoil on side of pipeline at this point:
4 Neolithic large flints [flakes?] and 2 scrapers.
