Full Description
21 March 1985. Fieldwalking in well weathered ploughsoil.
Scatter of pottery mainly in southwest corner of field adjacent to farm buildings includes at least two sherds Middle Saxon Ipswich ware, rest medieval. (S1).
Finds in NCM.
For full details of wares, flint types etc see Fenland Folders (S2).
R. J. Silvester (NAU), 22 March 1985.
Material re-examined by A. Rogerson (NAU) and no Middle Saxon Ipswich ware found. As there is no Middle Saxon pottery in R. Silvester's detailed files it is probable that the material was reidentified as medieval.
A. Rogerson (NAU), 11 November 1989.
