Summary

Fieldwalking in 1985 recovered a concentration of medieval pottery with bone and shell fragments and some post medieval rubbish. A medieval droveway was also recorded.

12 April 1985. Fieldwalking on well weathered soil ex strawberries.
Concentration medieval pottery sparse, bone and shell sparse, and limited post medieval rubbish. On edge medieval droveway. Full extent of site unknown - to south track, though could extend beyond this into next field, to north
woodland. Soil stained though this may be due to late activity. 23m east to west x min 9m north to south at 2.1m OD. TYL 33 (S1).
