Summary

Metal-detecting has recovered several Late Bronze Age copper alloy items, indicating a dispersed hoard, Romano-British pottery and a vessel fragment, undatable and post-medieval metal objects. Metal-detecting between 2011 and 2017 recovered medieval and post-medieval coins and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Saxon/medieval padlock key; a medieval coin weight, key, ampulla and ewer spout fragment; and a copper alloy post-medieval figurine of Neptune, and a powder charger cap.

March 1985. Found with metal-detector in ploughsoil in middle of field.
Upper two-thirds of Late Bronze Age socketed axehead, with triple rib decoration and one large and one small mouth moulding, (S1).
