10 May 1985.
Observance of disturbance by contractors during house building, drain and road laying.
Natural sand at northern end, overlying chalky boulder clay in centre, overlying chalk at south end.
Topsoil varying 30 to 50cm in thickness, no cut features noted.
Finds suggest probably no early medieval to medieval occupation.
All from spoil.
5 flints.
1 bowl rim Grimston-Thetford or unglazed Grimston.
1 shoulder sherd probably Blackborough End Early medieval ware.
1 base and 16 sherds Early medieval.
No post medieval material found.
