March to early April 1985. Metal-detecting. Arable field. [1].
Bronze harness mount, partly gilt. Designed to be upstanding, with iron spike for attachment, surmounted by 'nailhead' motif with curved lobes on each face; above this curved shape not unlike fibula - this may be a stylised dragon. Compare (S1). Overall length 7.5cm, length of dragon 6cm. See (S2).

Late Saxon silver coin brooch made from coin of Ethelred II (978-1016).

This silver coin brooch was returned to the finder after being disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2023 T615).
Extended to whole field. Previously mapped as a point at [3].
