Summary

A collection of finds made by metal detectorists in Gooderstone includes a Bronze Age awl, an Iron Age silver coin, Roman coins, Roman brooches, a Roman spoon, a Roman ring, a Roman bracelet, a Roman patera, Early Saxon brooches and fragments, medieval buckles, a 12th century casket mount and post medieval metalwork. Full Description

1984. Temporary card?
Collection made by various metal detector users, probably from owners lands at Gooderstone but possibly from other farms owned by him elsewhere. D. Wicks (NAU) will try to get more accurate locations in the future but is not hopeful as owner has since been ill, and may not have known the findspots in any case.
Late Saxon Urnes or Ringerike style dragon mount. See (S1 and S2).
