Summary

This is the site of a medieval house, which was described as being newly built in a document of 1499. Field walking has recovered fragments of medieval and post medieval pottery.

Glazed Grimston late?; some clearly post medieval.
Glazed red earthenware,stoneware, china etc.

25 April 1994. Field walking finds.
Good conditions, rewalked because probable site of new house in 1499, called a domus in 1509. See (S2) for more details.
No good evidence for late 15th/16th century occupation.
All seems 17th century onwards.
