Summary
In 1985 an area of iron slag was identified on the freshly cultivated ground surface here. Samples taken suggested furnace bottoms rather than tap slag, but no date could be asssigned to this metal working site.

Full Description
September 1985. On freshly cultivated surface of recently cleared parkland.
Area about 10m square of iron slag. Samples suggest furnace bottoms rather than tap slag.
