Summary

Features interpreted as relating to medieval to post medieval settlement are visible as earthworks and soilmarks on aerial photographs and visualised lidar data. Some or all of the features might equally be related to drainage. The visualised lidar data, from a 2017 survey, shows that the earthworks have for the most part been levelled.

The possible medieval (or medieval to post medieval) settlement described above is visible as earthworks and soilmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S3) and visualised lidar data (S4). It is certainly feasible that the features relate to settlement, but their character is such that it is equally like that at least some of them are drainage features. The visualised lidar data (S4), from a 2017 survey, shows that the earthworks have for the most part been levelled.
