May 2007. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of a ring ditch and a double ring ditch of probable Bronze Age date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The grid reference for these cropmarks has been amended to TG 4142 0594. The double ring ditch has a slightly sub-circular plan with a narrow outer ditch and an external diameter of 25m. The inner ditch is also narrow with a sub-circular plan and measures 14m across. Immediately to the south-east of this double ring ditch is a slightly sub-circular single ring ditch. It has a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 21m. It is likely that both of these ring ditches are of Bronze Age date and that they relate to round barrows. Both are overlain by linear ditch and possible trackway cropmarks (NHER 49397). Two more Bronze Age ring ditch cropmarks are located 270m to the south-east (NHER 32061).
