The cropmarks of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch (see above) are seen on aerial photographs (S4-S7). The ring ditch most likely relates to the site of a Bronze Age round barrow. The ditch appears to be wider on the features southern and western sides. A possible gap (centred at TG 2382 2708) or raised area (not mapped) is also visible in the south of the feature (S7). It is possible that the ring ditch is shallower on the features southern side resulting in the cropmark giving the appearance of a possible gap or raised area. The gap or raised area has not been mapped as it is uncertain as to whether it is archaeological or geological in origin.
