Map

3 July 1976. At approximate grid reference.
'Cropmarks' noted on Cambridge University Collection of aerial photographs (CUCAP) list.
E. Rose (NAU), 22 October 1985.

Marks are centred on corrected grid reference. Include a good ring ditch west of road junction. To the east a smaller mark suggested as a second ring ditch by D. Edwards (NAU), but looking more like two overlapping corners of enclosures, may be geological.
D. Edwards (NAU), 10 December 1985 and E. Rose (NAU), 7 September 1987.

26 August 1993. Site visit to locate position of ring ditch on the ground so that recently planted trees (in a belt, crossing the site) can be removed. A relatively narrow belt of young trees crosses the site, and the owner has agreed to replant those on and around the ring ditch elsewhere.
D.Gurney (NLA) 26 August 1993.

Grid reference changed to TG 3675 2889 from old NGR TG 3670 2890
Cropmarks of two ring ditches, probably Bronze Age round barrows, are visible on aerial photographs (S1 to 2). The original ring ditch recorded is centred on TG 36755 28895 and has an external diameter of 25m (S1 to 2). No pits are visible within the ring ditch on the aerial photographs. It lies in the corner of, and is crossed by, a rectilinear enclosure that is presumably of a later date (NHER 38607). A further round barrow cropmark is located 150m to the northeast (NHER 38597) and an incomplete ring ditch is located 250m to the east (NHER 38598) forming a small barrow cemetery. The visibility of the cropmarks is restricted mainly to a ridge of different geology on which these barrows are located.
