Summary

Metal detecting here in 1985 and 1994 recovered a variety of objects including a pair of Late Saxon tweezers, a medieval gilt bronze brooch fragment, an Early Saxon cruciform brooch and small-long brooch as well as a medieval belt hasp. The presence of Early Saxon brooches may suggest a cremation burial here. Subsequent fieldwalking in 1996 and 1999 retrieved prehistoric flints and medieval pottery sherds.
