Summary

The plain 19th century brick exterior hides the earlier timber-framed core of this building. It was formerly a farmhouse of the Lodge Estate, shown as a small country house on a map of 1797. It shows signs of 19th and 20th century extensions.

Plain 19th century brick exterior hides timber framed core.
(S1) shows studwork wall with midwall rail and two massive straight braces; also older brick stack. Not clear enough for dating but certainly 17th century or earlier.
